Karma Management, Inc. is a public relations firm specializing in association management. Our niche is the build environment working with architects, structural engineers and designers. Karma’s goal is to promote a better quality of life through the natural and built environments by focusing on the change-makers and creating opportunities for inter-disciplinary interaction. Karma has a part time position ten to fifteen hours a week that could lead into full time. If you are interested in architecture, sustainability and the arts, you will enjoy working for Karma.

Job Description: 

  • Managing client portfolios and membership of several professional organizations
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of special events
  • Provide administrative support to the directors
  • Manage several accounts on social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Canva (graphic software)
  • Setting up and optimizing company pages within each social media platform
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) for marketing and social media

Requirements: 

  • BS in Public Relations, Communications, or Marketing
  • Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), EXCEL, presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrable social networking experience
  • Positive attitude, detail and client oriented, and multitasking a MUST.

Local Marketing Manager

Job Description: The local marketing manager will support the Company’s brand strategy and marketing and communications goals by supporting marketing and communications plans for local hospital markets. Working with a variety of individuals and Company department contacts, this role will develop applicable content for areas of communication including traditional and digital/social media. With all responsibilities, this position will implement and uphold the Company’s branding standards and voice. As appropriate, the scope of responsibility will include project management to meet company and marketing objectives. This position will support cultural diversity by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.

Qualifications: Education, Training and Years of Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, public relations, advertising or journalism required.
– Experience working for a company that serves a national or larger geographic footprint preferred
– Strong knowledge of AP style writing
– Experience working in healthcare or another regulated industry preferred.
– Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office products
– Must be willing to learn new programs and technology as it relates to job responsibilities
– Must have 3-5 years of direct experience working in a communications and/or marketing role

Communications Project Coordinator

Job Description: The Communications Project Coordinator provides a broad range of skills to support the company’s marketing and communications plan. Scope of responsibility includes project management in support of several communication channels; creating content for various messages; contributing to the company’s internal communications strategy; and coordinating employee events and community-based projects. Corporate Communications Internship, Children’s of Alabama

Children’s of Alabama is offering an internship for third or fourth-year journalism, communications, marketing, and public relations students. This position is based out of the Corporate Communications office on Birmingham’s Southside. A monthly stipend is provided. College credit available.
